Appetitive and Aversive

Today's science terms, Appetitive and Aversive.

Everything in life has some value whether appetitive or aversive, the value can change based on need or satiation. It can range from unnoticeably low value to dangerously high on either end of the spectrum.

Appetitives are anything the being likes, enjoys, makes them feel good, fulfills their needs, promotes their ability to survive, thrive, and reproduce. We work to earn appetitives.

Aversives are anything the being dislikes, makes us uncomfortable, afraid, or puts our physical or emotional wellbeing at risk. We work to avoid aversives.
