Volunteer Spotlight Brenna

Brenna has been a volunteer here for nearly 8 years! I've watched her grow and become an amazing, inspiring young woman. She lives with the challenges of Borderline Personality Disorder and Autism and has risen to the challenge. Despite some hard time getting through her teens horses, especially Tank have been her place of stability and comfort. Dream has become her newest friend. Tank taught her patience, emotional regulation, focus, and how to train with kind communication and reward. Dream is HER reward, he is fun, playful, silly, sweet and so loves her.

She has not only survived the challenges she's been faced with, but has taken them and made them her strength. She is studying to become a social worker, using her intense empathy and compassion and huge heart to spread love and support for people who have had struggles like hers'. She works hard everyday to learn about the things important to her (horses and mental health) and to raise awareness and support for people in situations like hers. She is a true inspiration! I am so proud of her!!
